LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State men's golf is set to host the 17th annual Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, Oct. 17-18, at the University Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M.
The Aggies are joined on the course by Grand Canyon, Incarnate Word, McMurry University (Individuals), Odessa College, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, UMKC, Utah Valley, UTEP, UT Rio Grande Valley, Western Illinois, Western New Mexico and Wichita State.
The 54-hole invitational will be played over two days at the University GC with 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 holes set for Tuesday. Golfers will begin at 8:30 a.m. MT each day with a shotgun start. Live stats for the tournament can be followed on

Arthur Doorn,
Luis Medina,
Isaac Merry and
Jack Snyder will represent the Aggies this weekend.
Davis Chung,
Matt Corio,
Cooper Donahue,
Tanvir Kahlon and
Michael McGilton will be competing as individuals. Donahue, Kahlon and Snyder are competing in the first event of their careers.
The tournament is named in honor of retired NM State Hall of Fame Coach Herb Wimberly, who directed the Aggie golf program for 31 years. He coached 18 Aggies to All-American status and was named to the Golf Coaches Association of America Hall of Fame in 1985.
The University GC is a 7,242 yard, par-71 layout which was opened in 1963.
Following the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, the Aggies will head to El Paso, Texas for the Price's Give 'Em Five Invitational, Oct. 28-30. This event will be the final tournament of the fall season for the Aggies.
