College Football's Largest Pink Ribbon to be Unveiled Saturday

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State Athletics and the Tough Enough to Wear Pink volunteers are set to unveil college football's largest pink ribbon at halftime on Saturday, Oct. 22, when the Aggies take on Georgia Southern at 6 p.m. in Aggie Memorial Stadium.

The ribbon was specially created by Skys The Limit Productions and commemorates Tough Enough to Wear Pink's tenth anniversary in Las Cruces.  The ribbon is 100 yards in length and requires upward of 200 volunteers to unveil the ribbon. Volunteers for the ribbon presentation are from Saturday's game sponsor, New Mexico's Agricultural Community, the Tough Enough to Wear Pink committee, Cowboys for Cancer Research, the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and Sigma Chi fraternity.  Cost of the ribbon's production was underwritten by a generous donation from Lou and Pat Sisbarro and Dr. John and Laura Conniff.

"It took over a month to make the ribbon, and will be the first time a pink ribbon of its size will be presented at a football game," Doug Green said, Vice President of Bowl Games / Special Events for Skys The Limit Productions.

New Mexico State Athletics is encouraging all fans to wear pink to the game. To be on hand for this special presentation and the NM State football game against Georgia Southern, call the Pan American Center ticket office at 575-646-1420.
