LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State women's golf is set to host the third annual NM State Aggie Invitational, Oct. 3-5, at the University Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M. NM State has fared well in the past two events finishing third in 2014 and second in 2015.
The Aggies are joined on the course by Boise State, Grand Canyon, North Dakota, South Dakota State, Stephen F. Austin, UC Irvine, UTEP, UT Rio Grande Valley and Valparaiso.
The 54-hole invitational will be played over three days at the University GC. Golfers will begin at 8:30 a.m. MT each day with a shotgun start. Live stats for the tournament can be followed on

Pun Chanachai,
Kristen Cline, Valeria Macias,
Kennedie Montoya and
Camille Orito will represent the Aggies this weekend.
Lauren Blumears,
Maria Prado and
Angela Xu will be competing as individuals. Blumears and Xu are competing in the first event of their careers.
NM State is coming off of a seventh-place finish at the Golfweek Conference Challenge, which saw two Aggies finish in the top-20 with
Kristen Cline (T14th) and
Pun Chanachai (T19th). Cline was named WAC Golfer of the Month in September after registering two top-20 finishes in as many events.
The University GC is a 6,271 yard, par-72 layout which was opened in 1963.
Following the NM State Aggie Invitational, the Aggies will head to Boulder Creek Golf Course for the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown in Las Vegas, Nev., Oct. 23-25.
