TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico State women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Wildcat Invitational on Sunday at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
Sunday was a light day for competition as
Vanessa Valdez and
Lindsay Harlas squared off against Arizona's pair of Westbrook and Taylor before falling 7-5. In singles play, Valdez was bested by New Mexico's Copas 6-3, 6-2.
In the consolation b singles draws,
Rebecca Keijzerwaard was defeated by Arizona's Cohen 6-0, 6-1.
Eli Arnaudova couldn't quite fend off the rally from Kato of UTSA and dropped her final match of the week 1-6, 7-5, 10-8.
NM State will get this upcoming week off before they head to the ITA Regionals in Albuquerque (Oct. 12-16). Meanwhile, junior
Rimpledeep Kaur head to Malibu, Calif., where she'll compete with some of the nation's best at the Oracle ITA Masters event.
