LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State men's golf head to El Paso to play in the fifth annual Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invitational, Oct. 28-30 at the Butterfield Trail Golf Club in El Paso, Texas.
The 54-hole intercollegiate will be played over three days. The invitational is set to kick off at 8:00 a.m. (MT) on Friday and Saturday and the final round of 18 holes will close out the tournament on Sunday at 8:15 a.m. A shotgun start will be used at the beginning of each round. Tadhg Campbell,
Luis Medina,
Isaac Merry and
Jack Snyder will represent the Aggies this weekend. A fifth starter will be named later in the evening.
The NM State travel roster also contains
Matt Corio,
Cooper Donahue,
Arthur Doorn,
Tanvir Kahlon and
Michael McGilton. These players will contend for the final starting spot at today's practice round and the remaining four will compete as individuals.
Coming into the Price's Invitational, Medina and Merry lead the team, with both posting a stroke average of 74.67 through nine rounds of play this season.
The Butterfield Trail GC is a 7,307 yard, par-72 layout which was named the third best municipal course in Golfweek's rankings.
The Aggies look to replicate their play from 2014, which saw them post the best team score in tournament history (818).
The Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invitational is the last event of the fall season for NM State men's golf, they will return to action at the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tuscon, Ariz., Jan. 22-24.
