First Round Results
LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Round one of the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invitational featured the best score through 18 holes for the Aggies this season. NM State holds sole possession of second place at 280 (-8). As a team, the Aggies have amassed 19 birdies and lead the field in holes for par with 60.
Four of the five starters for NM State sit in the Top-25. The team is led by
Luis Medina and
Isaac Merry who are tied for fifth after carding a 69 (-3).
Michael McGilton followed closely behind, shooting a 70 (-2), which put him in a tie for 10th. The three top golfers contributed 14 of the Aggies 19 birdies as Merry and McGilton shot five a piece and Medina had four of his own.
Tadhg Campbell fired a 72 (E) and is in a five-way tie for 24th. Rounding out the NM State starters,
Jack Snyder posted a round of 73 (+1) to tie for 29th and he led the field shooting 15 holes for par.
For the individuals,
Tanvir Kahlon was on Snyder's heels all day as he also shot a 73, to tie for 29th.
Arthur Doorn shot a 74 (+2) which was good for a share of 34th place.
Matt Corio and
Cooper Donahue completed the individuals as they each fired an 80 (+8) and tied for 69th.
Heading into the second round, UTEP is in first (276), NM State is in second (280), UT-San Antonio is in third (282), Marquette is in fourth (283) and Seton Hall is in fifth (287).
The second round on Saturday tees off at 8:00 a.m. MT with a shotgun start.
