Second Round Results
EL PASO, TEXAS – The second round of the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invitational concluded with NM State continuing what they started on Friday. NM State is tied for second place at 567 (-9). As a team, the Aggies have amassed 38 birdies, one eagle and are tied for the lead in holes for par with 110.
Three starters for NM State sit in the Top-25. The squad is led by
Luis Medina who has carded 69-68—137 (-7) to sit in fourth place. Medina also recorded the only eagle for the Aggies through two rounds.
Michael McGilton sits in a tie for 11th as he shot 70-72--142 (-2).
Isaac Merry followed with 69-76—145 (+1) which put him in a tie for 24th. McGIlton and Merry lead the Aggies as they each have fired 10 birdies.
Rounding out the Aggie starters,
Tadhg Campbell and
Jack Snyder have been neck and neck as they each have a two round total of 146 (+2) and are tied for 28th.
For the individuals,
Tanvir Kahlon leads the way shooting 73-72—145 (+1) to tie for 24th.
Arthur Doorn has a 36-hole total of 150 (+6) and is tied for 51st.
Matt Corio had his best round with a score of 72 which put his total at 152 (+8) as he is tied for 55th.
Cooper Donahue completed the individuals as he put up a two-round score of 165 (+21) and is in 74th place.
Heading into the third and final round, UTEP is in first at 556 (-20), NM State is tied for second with Marquette as they each have a score of 567 (-9), UT-San Antonio is in fourth at 571 (-5), and UTRGV is in fifth, 575 (-1).
The final round on Sunday tees off at 8:15 a.m. MT with a shotgun start.
