Final Results
EL PASO, TEXAS – The final day of the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invitational saw NM State finish in fourth place with a score of 856 (-8). After 54 holes of play, the Aggies finished the invitational with 48 birdies, two eagles and a tournament leading 176 holes for par.
Two starters for NM State finished the three day event in the Top-30 on the player leaderboard. Leading the charge,
Luis Medina carded 69-68-69—206 (-10) which was good for a tie in third place. Medina's strong play was highlighted by leading the field in holes for par (41), coupled with 10 birdies and one eagle.
Next up for the Aggies was
Michael McGilton who tied for 21st as he shot 70-72-74--216 (E). McGilton led the Aggies with 12 birdies when it was all said and done. Freshman
Jack Snyder finished the tournament with his best personal round of 72 which brought his total to 218 (+2) as he tied for 29th.
Isaac Merry stayed close with Snyder throughout the tournament and finished with a score of 219 (+3) to tie for 33rd. Rounding out the Aggie starters,
Tadhg Campbell posted a three round total of 221 (+5) and tied for 39th.
For the individuals,
Tanvir Kahlon led the way shooting 73-72-70—215 (-1) to tie for 17th.
Arthur Doorn carded a 54-hole total of 221 (+5) and tied with Campbell for 39th.
Matt Corio finished at 227 (+11) to put him in a tie for 60th.
Cooper Donahue completed the individuals as he put up a three round score of 241 (+25) to finish in 72nd.
After the three day competition came to a close, host UTEP finished in first at 829 (-35), UT-San Antonio finished in second at 842 (-22), Marquette was in third with a score of 851 (-13), NM State took fourth at 856 (-8) and UTRGV finished in fifth, 863 (-1).
The Price's "Give 'Em Five Invitational marked the final event of the fall season for the NM State men's golf team. They will take a break until spring play begins at the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson Ariz., Jan. 22-24.
