LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The 2016-17 promotional schedule for men's basketball has been released and features a four-part Aggies snapback hat giveaway, select $40 Family Four-Pack nights and the World-Famous Red Panda halftime act.

The season and home-opener on Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. (MT) will be the first of four snapback hat giveaways with the first 1,000 fans in attendance receiving an Aggies snapback hat. The double-header with women's basketball will also serve as the military appreciate game as they take on San Jose State at 5:30 p.m.

Junior Aggies Day is set for Nov. 20 against Bethune-Cookman with the Razzle Dazzle Dancers scheduled as the halftime show. To become a member of the JAC, contact

The World-Famous Red Panda act comes to town for the Nov. 30 contest against Air Force while the Long Beach State game on Dec. 3 will be the second installment of the Aggie snapback hat giveaway for the first 1,000 fans.

A week later, NM State will honor legendary Aggie head coach Lou Henson on Dec. 10 against New Mexico as it celebrates Lou Henson Night. NM State will also be unveiling its new Final Four banner from the 1970 season along with a video tribute during intermission. The UC Irvine game on Monday, Dec. 19, will be the first $40 Family Four-Pack night where Aggie fans can get four tickets, four soft drinks and four hot dogs for just $40.

With five players and head coach
Paul Weir hailing from Canada, we'll also be having Canada Night on Tuesday, Dec. 27, when the Aggies face Eastern New Mexico. In addition, the ENMU game will also serve as the second $40 Family Four-Pack night. When NM State squares off against Battle of I-10 rival UTEP, the Aggies will be hosting its Hispanic Heritage Night and recognizing the Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

As the calendar turns to the new year, the annual baby race presented by State Farm returns for the Jan. 12 battle against Grand Canyon. The 7 p.m. tip-off will also be the third chance for Aggie fans to get their hands on a special edition snapback hat.

Two days later on Saturday, Jan. 14, NM State will have its annual mascot madness presented by Subway at halftime when it hosts CSU Bakersfield for another Pack the Pan Am event. The Jan. 21 tip-off against UMKC will also be the third chance for Aggie fans to take advantage of the $40 Family Four-Pack deal.

The fourth and final Aggies snapback hat giveaway will take place on Saturday, Feb. 4, against Chicago State. The game is also designated as the alumni game for men's basketball. On Saturday, Feb. 25, the NM State Athletic Department will be unveiling its 2017 Hall of Fame class presented by US Bank at halftime.

Finally, for senior night, a special collectable poster will be given out to the first 1,000 fans in attendance in the final home game of the year against UT Rio Grande Valley on Saturday, March 4.
