FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.- On day two of the Lumberjack Invite, four Aggies competed in the three meter diving championships.
MacKinna Hauff,
Abigail Watson,
Alexis Tupponce and
Sheridan Decker competed for NM State. Hauff and Watson qualified for the finals in which they each placed in the top-10.
After the event, New Mexico State Coach,
Miranda King remarked, "Our day two performance on the three meter was much better than the one meter. MacKinna and Abby both made it into the finals. Unfortunately, on Raina's last dive on platform Friday night, she tweaked her shoulder and got a stinger which prevented her from competing on day two. The rest of the ladies had a solid list on three meter and I couldn't be more proud of how they finished off the meet.
The two divers for NM State that qualified for the finals, Hauff and Watson, had strong performances to finish off the day.
MacKinna Hauff led the way with a score of 255.00, good for ninth place and Abby Watson was right behind with a score of 248.35 to place in 10th.
