PHOENIX – Both doubles teams for NM State advanced on Friday at the GCU Invitational while
Rimpledeep Kaur and
Lindsay Harlas moved on in singles action.

Kaur and
Vanessa Valdez first took down Northern Arizona's pair of Hanneke Lodewijks and Marta Lewandowska 8-4 while Harlas and
Gabrielle Joyce blanked their competition from Southern Utah 8-0.

In flight No. 1, Kaur cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory against Mesa Community College's Hanna Nelson. Valdez battled NAU's Lodewijks in the same flight, but couldn't replicate the same success in singles and fell 6-1, 6-3.

In the second flight, Harlas downed the Lumberjack's Eirene Granville in a three-set thriller 2-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1 while Joyce was ousted by Marie Deleval of Grand Canyon.
