PHOENIX –NM State women's tennis junior
Rimpledeep Kaur finished the fall season with a bang and claimed the singles title in flight No. 1 on Sunday at the GCU Invitational.

Kaur's championship run finished on Sunday with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over host GCU's Susie Baklini. In the same flight,
Vanessa Valdez was bested by Northern Arizona's Brandy Walker 6-1, 6-4.

In flight No. 2 of singles action, Lindsay Valdez was bested 6-1, 6-4 while
Gabrielle Joyce lost a tooth-and-nail bout with Southern Utah's Cloe Stocking 7-6, 7-6.

NM State will now take a break before opening the dual season with Central Oklahoma at home on Friday, Jan. 13.
