HUMBLE, Texas – The New Mexico State Aggies moved into a tie for 12th on the second day of the All-American Intercollegiate at the Golf Club of Houston. The Aggies posted a round of 299 for a two-round total of 605.

NM State tied with Sam Houston State and is two strokes behind Charlotte at 603 in 11th and five in back of McNeese State at 600 in 10th.

The Aggies got another steady round from junior
Luis Medina of Guadalajara, Mexico/Montverde Academy. Medina toured the par 72, 7,096-yard course in 1-over 73 on Saturday to move up to a tie for 24th at 3-over 147.

Medina birdied his opening hole, the 10th, but bogeyed three other holes on the backside to make the turn at 2-over. He responded on the front-side with pars on all but No. 3, where he picked up his second birdie of the day.

Senior
Kenneth Fadke II of Hobbs, N.M., posted a 3-over 75 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 153, while sophomore
Isaac Merry of Las Cruces, N.M./Onate also shot a 3-over 75 for a 154.

Freshman
Davis Chung of Las Cruces, N.M./High carded a 4-over 76 in the second round, but still maintains his number two spot on the Aggie board with a two-round total of 151. Sophomore Mike McGilton of Chandler, Ariz./Perry turned in 80 on Saturday to enter the final round at 159.

Tournament co-host Houston continues to lead the team race. The Cougars shot a 3-under 285 on Saturday for a two-round total of 563. Houston is 13 strokes better than Arkansas, who made a huge leap with a 12-under 276 to sit at 576. South Carolina is 14 strokes back in third at 577.

Individually, Houston's Papito Gonzalez holds on to a one-stroke lead after a 1-under 71 on Saturday for a 36-hole total of 6-under 138. Arkansas' Taylor Moore fired a 6-under 66, the tournament's low round, to move into a second place tie with Houston's Blair Hamilton, who added a 1-under 71. Moore and Hamilton are at 5-under 139.

The final round is Sunday morning with a shotgun start at 7:30 Mountain at the Golf Club of Houston.
