HUMBLE, Texas – The New Mexico State Aggies held their ground on Sunday to finish 12th in the All-American Intercollegiate at the Golf Club of Houston.

The Aggies put up a final round score of 302 to finish with a 907, three strokes better than co-host Rice in 13th at 910 and four strokes behind Charlotte at 903 in 11th.

NM State was paced on Sunday by the play of sophomore Mike McGilton of Chandler, Ariz./Perry who carded a 2-over-par 74 on the par 72, 7,096-yard course. The round was a bounce back from the 79-80 in the opening rounds to finish at 233.

Junior
Luis Medina of Guadalajara, Mexico/Montverde and senior
Kenneth Fadke II of Hobbs, N.M., both turned in final round scores of 3-over 75 on Sunday. Medina finished tied for 31st at 6-over 222, while Fadke ended with a 12-over 228.

Freshman
Davis Chung of Las Cruces, N.M./High added a 6-over 78 in the final round for a 13-over 229, while sophomore
Isaac Merry of Las Cruces, N.M./Onate recorded an 82 for a 54-hole total of 236.

Arkansas won the team title as the Razorbacks put up a final round 9-under 279 for an 855 to edge co-host Houston. The Cougars shot a 5-over 293 for an 856 to finish a stroke back. South Carolina finished with an 868.

Arkansas' Taylor Moore won the individual title with a final round 4-under 68 to win by three strokes at 9-under 207. Matt Nesmith of South Carolina fired a 5-under 67 on Sunday to take second at 6-under 210. Houston's Papito Gonzalez and Troy's Clay Vannoy were third at 5-under 211.

The team is back in action next weekend at the National Invitational Tournament at the Omni Tucson National Golf Course Sunday, Feb. 28 through Tuesday, March 1.
