LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The NM State softball team takes a break from tournament play as they host a double header with Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday. Game one will begin at 4:00 p.m., with game two scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
The Aggies are 11-6 on the season after going 2-4 in the Mary Nutter Classic over the weekend. After capturing an eight-inning, 2-1 victory over BYU, the Aggies suffered losses to Boise State, Northwestern, and Oregon State before bouncing back to top Cal State Fullerton 5-4. NM State concluded the weekend with a loss to Utah on Sunday.
Mount St. Mary's is 0-5 this season after falling 10-1 to Saint Francis (Pa.) in the ASU Diamond Devil Invitational on Sunday. This will be the first-ever matchup between NM State and the Mounts.
