LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The NM State softball team is hosting the third annual Dining at the Diamond meet and greet at the NM State Softball Complex on Saturday from 3-6 p.m. Individual tickets for the event are $40. Tables, which include eight tickets, are available for $500. Donations will be accepted as well.
 
All proceeds from the event will go directly towards assisting the softball team. The softball team will use the funds to help with locker room updates and equipment needs, as well as to purchase a new portable backstop and an upgraded computer system.
 
Head coach Kathy Rodolph will preview the 2016 season and the team will be in attendance. The event will feature a silent auction and a live auction, appetizers, wine and beer. There also will be a photo set with props and other fan activities.  
 
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Round the Horn fundraising game and a home run derby. Additionally, there will be a Bring the Heat activity where a radar gun will be used to test fans' throwing speed, as well as a Big Bomber Challenge where people can try to hit a pitch thrown by one of the Aggie pitchers.
