NM State Travels to No. 17 Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. – After sweeping Seattle U over the weekend, the NM State softball team will take a break from conference play as they face No. 17 Arizona in a double header on Wednesday with the first game scheduled for 5:00 p.m. MT. Game two is set for 7:00 p.m.

Both games will be live streamed here. Live stats will be available at arizonawildecats.com.

The Aggies are 23-16 this season following the weekend series against the Redhawks. After a slow start in Friday's game, NM State found their stride in the fourth inning as they scored 10 runs. The team had four home runs in the fourth inning, with two from Tatum Reedy, a grand slam from Brennalyn Nakamura and a solo home run by Victoria Castro. NM State then swept Saturday's double header with a 2-0 victory and a 5-0 win.

NM State is 9-60 overall against Arizona. The two teams last played on Mar. 21, 2015 as the Wildcats swept the double header. Arizona, ranked No. 17 at the time, topped the Aggies 14-2 and 11-6 in games one and two, respectively. The Wildcats are 23-12 after falling 5-1 at Washington on Monday.
