LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State placed 25 student-athletes on the 2016 Western Athletic Conference All-Academic teams for winter sports.

The winter sport teams featured outstanding student-athletes from men's and women's basketball, women's indoor track and field, and
women's swimming and diving.
Â
To be eligible for the WAC All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests

The Aggie swimming and diving team led the way on the list, with 12 team members honored. Indoor track and field garnered nine honorees, with men's and women's basketball recording two honorees.
