LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State swimming and diving head coach Rick Pratt recently announced the 2016-17 schedule. The Aggies will compete in nine regular season meets, and are set to host three meets.
 
"We're really excited for next season with another large class of talented athletes coming to our program," said Pratt. "Our schedule provides us with some balanced competition and will give us some challenges to prepare us for long term success."
 
The Aggies open the season with their annual Crimson & White meet on Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. at the NMSU Swimming & Diving Complex. They will then host their annual Alumni Meet and Homecoming event on Oct. 1 at 11:30 a.m.
 
NM State will welcome WAC-rival Grand Canyon and Texas-Permian Basin in their first home meet of the season on Oct. 15 at 11:30 a.m. The Aggies will host CSU-Pueblo the following weekend on Oct. 22 at 11:30 a.m. in a dual meet.
 
The Aggies will go on the road for five meets and will travel to Northern Colorado on Oct. 27 and Wyoming on Oct. 28. NM State will compete in the Phil Hansel Invitational, hosted by Houston, on Nov. 18-20. The team will follow that up with a meet at Northern Arizona on Dec. 3. They will then travel to Tucson, Ariz. to compete against Arizona and Oregon State on Jan. 6.
 
NM State will close out the road schedule on January 27-28 as the divers travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. to compete in the Air Force Diving Invite. The Aggies conclude the regular season as they host Rio Grande rival New Mexico on Jan. 28 at 11:30 a.m.
 
The Western Athletic Conference Championships are set for Feb. 22-25 in Houston, Texas.
