LUBBOCK, Texas - New Mexico State women's golf team opens its 2016 fall season at the Red Raider Invitational hosted by Texas Tech, Sept. 12-13, at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas.
The Aggies join Texas Tech on the course with Augusta, Central Arkansas, East Tennessee State, Iowa, Kennesaw State, North Florida, North Texas, Oregon, Oregon State, Princeton, Santa Clara, Tulsa and Wichita State.
The 54-hole Invitational will be played over two days at the Rawls Course. Golfers will begin at 8:30 a.m. MT and play 36 holes on Monday, Sept. 12, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday, Sept. 13. Each round will begin with a shotgun start. Live stats for the tournament can be followed on

Camille Orito will represent the Aggies this weekend.
Orito is the top returner after posting a stroke average of 75.29 and finished in the top 30 in 9 of the 12 tournaments she played in a year ago. Another top returner playing this weekend is Montoya (76.69) who won the Western Athletic Conference Championship individual title.
The Rawls Course is a 6,541 yard, par-72 layout which was named the fourth-best college course in the nation by Golfweek.
Following the Red Raider Invitational, New Mexico State plays at the Golfweek Conference Challenge on Sept. 26-28 in Vail, Colo.
