LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State men's golf head to Albuquerque to play in the 62nd annual William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, Sept. 23-24 at the Championship Golf Course on the campus of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
This year's William H. Tucker field includes five ranked teams in the most recent GolfWeek poll. The Aggies join New Mexico on the course with Arizona, BYU, Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Louisiana Tech, Pepperdine, San Diego, San Diego State, UTEP, UNLV, Washington, Washington State and Wyoming.
The 54-hole intercollegiate will be played over two days on the Championship GC. Play is set to kick off at 7:30 a.m. (MT) each day with 36 holes to be played on Friday and the final round of 18 holes will close out the tournament on Saturday. Isaac Merry will represent the Aggies this weekend.
Merry leads the team after posting a stroke average of 75.00 a year in the first event of the year at Air Force Academy. Other top players competing this weekend include McGilton (75.67) and Medina (77.00).
The Championship GC is a 7,580 yard, par-72 layout which was named one of GolfWeek's Best Courses You Can Play State-by-State in 2015.
Following the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, New Mexico State returns home to play in the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, on Oct. 16-18, at the NMSU Golf Course in Las Cruces.
