Kristen Cline is tied for ninth place heading into the second round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge at the Red Sky Golf Club. As a team, the Aggies are tied for sixth and lead the field shooting 68 holes for par.
Cline fired a one-over 73 in the first round.
Kennedie Montoya and
Pun Chanachai each scored a 75 and they are tied for 29th. Following just behind,
Vale Macias is four-over (76) and is tied for 39th. Completing the group,
Camille Orito shot a 78 and is tied for 56th.
Orito and Montoya each shot two birdies over the first round and Macias leads the field shooting 16 of her 18 holes for par.
NMSU fired a 299 (+11) on day one to put them in a tie for sixth. Fourth to ninth place contains seven teams and is separated by three strokes (298-301).
Heading into day two of the Golfweek Conference Challenge, San Diego State sits atop the leaderboard (287), while Pepperdine (291) is in second and Tennessee (293) rounds out the top three.
Tuesday's second round tees off at 10:00 a.m. MT.
