Women’s Golf Completes Day Two in Colorado

Kristen Cline and Pun Chanachai place in the Top-20

WOLCOTT, Colo.Kristen Cline and Pun Chanachai lead Aggies through the second round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge at the Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colo. As a team, NM State is tied for seventh and lead the field shooting 126 holes for par.
 
Cline shot her best round of the tournament (72), which put her in a tie for 12th place (145). Chanachai, competing in her first career tournament, also had her best round (72), tying her for 20th (147).
 
Kennedie Montoya shot a three-over (75) and is tied for 31st (150). Camille Orito and Vale Macias are tied for 60th (156) as they fired rounds of 78 and 80, respectively.
 
After two rounds of play, Cline has birdied on five holes while Montoya and Orito have each birdied four. Three Aggies also lead the field in holes for par, with Chanachai (28), Macias (27) and Cline (26).
 
The best round of the tournament saw the team shoot nine-over (297) which included 10 birdies and placed them in a tie for seventh. The Aggies sit two strokes behind Old Dominion and Washington State who are tied for fifth.

Heading into the third and final day of the Golfweek Conference Challenge, San Diego State sits atop the leaderboard (567), while Pepperdine (280) is in second and Tennessee (583) rounds out the top three.
 
Wednesday's final round tees off at 9:00 a.m. MT.
