LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After a successful start to the season at home in the NM State Invitational, the women's tennis team looks to build on that success this weekend at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by the University of Arizona.

The three-day tournament features six teams, including host Arizona, Northern Arizona, New Mexico State, New Mexico, UT San Antonio and UTEP. Play is schedule to begin at 9 a.m. (MT) each day with doubles action before continuing on with singles.

Representing the Aggies this weekend will be
Rimpledeep Kaur, who will be making her 2016-17 debut, in the red singles flight alongside
Vanessa Valdez. Kaur is the fourth-seeded player in the bracket while Valdez is set to play Laura Cabrera of UTSA, the second-seeded player in the bracket.

In the blue singles flight,
Lindsay Harlas and
Rebecca Keijzerwaard could meet in the semifinals should they advance while
Eli Arnaudova and
Gabrielle Joyce are set at the bottom end of the bracket and could meet in the semifinals should they advance as well.
Sarah Van Eeckhoudt will have a play-in game for the blue singles flight against UTSA's Manoon with the winner scheduled to battle Joyce.

Keijzerwaard and Joyce will once again team up for doubles play while Valdez and Harlas connect once more as well. The duo of Keijzerwaard and Joyce will play in the red doubles flight while Valdez and Harlas battle in the blue flight.
