NM State swim team travels to Arizona to take part in a quad meet on Friday

LAS CRUCES, NM – The New Mexico State swimming & diving team travels to Tucson, Ariz. for a quad meet on Friday, Jan. 6 at 12 p.m. MT. The meet will pit the Aggies against the host, Arizona Wildcats, the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks and the Oregon State Beavers.

Looking ahead to Friday's meet, head coach Rick Pratt commented, "Swimming against Pac-12 programs is always a great experience and we're excited to race again after a month of heavy training during the holidays.  We're healthy and in a strong place. This will be our only meet of the season out of altitude.  We're expecting to see some good performances from our group as it is time to start to really fine tune our race strategies and skills."

NM State comes into 2017 sitting at 3-4 on the year. The Aggies most recent meet saw the team fall to Northern Arizona, 168-127 on Dec. 3.
