LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State Athletic Department has teamed up with NM State Sports Properties to bring Aggie student-athletes the Life After Athletics Seminar Series presented by Wells Fargo.

The three-part series is designed with one goal in mind, to provide student-athletes additional tools and resources to excel in their lives after athletics. Each seminar will be led by one of the three great brands who have decided to impact the future of NM State student-athletes in a positive way.

This Wednesday, Oct. 18, will serve as the first seminar, which is titled "Financial Game Plan," will be presented by Wells Fargo. The goal of the Financial Game Plan is to provide student-athletes with the insights and knowledge needed for financial success. Taxes, monthly savings, retirement planning and overall financial freedom will be discussed during the first seminar.

In the second seminar, which is titled "Start to Finish, How to Land the Job," Lithia Dodge will give student-athletes an inside look at how to execute an interview from start to finish. Concepts on what it means to prepare for a job, how to dress, how to approach questions as well as what proper forms of follow up consist of will all be touched on during this seminar. The goal is to have student-athletes leaving the second seminar knowing what it takes to land the job of their dreams.

For the final seminar of the three-part series, GEICO Careers will be conducting interviews for various open positions. These positions will range from internships, to full-time positions at the corporate office. The student-athletes will have the ability to put the lessons from the second seminar on display with GEICO Careers on-site.
