LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team heads to Provo, Utah, to compete in the ITA Mountain Regional beginning Wednesday, Oct. 18, through Saturday, Oct. 21.

The 18-team tournament is hosted by Brigham Young University and features 128-player draw from teams in the mountain region. Those teams include Air Force, Boise State, Denver, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, NAU, Nevada, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Northern Colorado, Southern Utah, UNLV, Utah, Utah State, Weber State and host BYU.

Each day of competition is slated to begin at 9 a.m. (MT) all four days with the qualifiers earning an automatic berth to the 2017 ITA Fall National Intercollegiate Championship held in Palm Desert, Calif., at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

The dynamic Aggie duo of
Christofer Goncalves and
Luis Flores is scheduled to battle Boise State's pair of Pedro Platzeck and Stefan Lalovic 9 a.m. (MT).
Enrique Asmar and
Louis Menard team up to battle Idaho State's Peter Trhac and David Felix at 10 a.m. while
Stijn de Haan and
Mauri Benitez will take on Northern Colorado's Connor Finerty and Kyle Pease.

In singles action, Flores is paired up against Weber State's Michiel Van Schoor for an 11 a.m. contest while Benitez takes on WSU's Cezary Walkusz at noon. Goncalves, the fourth-ranked player in the tournament, also slated for a noon first serve against the Bears' Nick Wade. NM State's de Haan is also ranked in the singles draw and checks in at No. 27, facing off against Nevada's Robert Margitfalvi at 2:30 p.m.

Menard has a 2:30 p.m. date against Guy Feigin of Southern Utah while
Sergi Espias squares off against Weber State's Nick Werner at 3:30 p.m. Asmar rounds out singles action for NM State when he takes on the Wildcat's Hou-en Chen.
