Three @NMStateWSOC Players Earn All-WAC Honors

NM State’s Devin Hart, Aileen Galicia and Dmitri Fong earn All-WAC honors.

DENVER – New Mexico State women's soccer forward Devin Hart and midfielder Aileen Galicia were named to the 2017 All-WAC team, both earning spots on the first team. Goalkeeper Dmitri Fong earned Second Team All-WAC honors, the Western Athletic Conference announced Wednesday evening.
 
Hart, who hails from Albuquerque, N.M., leads the Aggies in goals with 11 and nine assists thus far in 2017. The senior forward also leads the Aggies with 31 points.
 
Galicia, a native of Indio, Calif., finished the 2017 regular-season leading NM State in shots (55) and shots-on-goal (29).
 
Fong, a product of Albuquerque, N.M., tallied five shutouts during the 2017 regular-season campaign. The redshirt freshman also recorded 99 saves and 1310:59 minutes of play.
 
UMKC's Lexie Howard took home WAC Offensive Player of the Year, while teammate Abby Small earned WAC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Coach of the Year honors went to Chris Cissell of UMKC, as selected by his peers. Amber Tripp of Utah Valley claimed Freshman of the Year.
