LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's golf team completed day one of play the NM State Aggie Invitational on the University Golf Course. Through 18 holes, the Aggies sit in seventh out of 10 with a team score of 306 ( 18).
At the end of the first round, team play was led by
Maria Prado who fired a 74 ( 2) to tie for 11
th. Following just behind was
Dominique Galloway and
Kennedie Montoya who tied for 19
th with a four-over 76.
Pun Chanachai posted a day one total of 80 ( 8) to tie for 43
rd. Freshman
Kehler Koss posted a score of 90 ( 18) to place in 57
th which rounded out the Aggie starting lineup.
For the individuals,
Angela Xu tied for 37
th with a round of 79 ( 7) and
Tiegan Taylor shot an 80 ( 8) to tie for 43
rd.
The team leaderboard is led by Sacramento State with who posted a 287 (-1) on Monday, followed by UTEP in second at 294 ( 6) and Santa Clara and UTRGV tied for third with a team score of 301 ( 13).
