LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Want to make an impact on all 400-plus student-athletes and the 16 teams at New Mexico State? Aggie fans and alumni now have an opportunity to double their donation with assistance from the NMSU Foundation!
Â
Now through end of business day on #GivingTuesday (Nov. 28), all NEW Aggie Athletic Club members will have their donations matched as El Paso Electric and Excellence Funds from various donors have raised the matching amount to $30,000.
Â
#GivingTuesday, the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is a global movement that inspires people around the world to take collaborative action to improve their local communities and contribute in countless ways to the causes they believe in.
Â
To date, the amount matched has reached just over $13,000 with $17,000 still available to be matched.
Â
"We can't thank the NMSU Foundation and El Paso Electric enough for this great opportunity to make an impact on the lives of our 400-plus student-athletes," Director of Athletics
Mario Moccia remarked. "The AAC has made tremendous strides since I've arrived in Las Cruces. We started at $164,000 and are now on track to reaching our goal of $500,000 at the end of this year. These monies will directly impact on our student-athletes and their respective sports with room and board, books, nutrition and educational expenses. I would ask all Aggie fans and alumni who are not a member of the AAC to make a gift of any amount to assist our student-athletes and see their money doubled for a very worthy cause."
