LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's basketball team heads to Midland, Texas, this weekend to play the Red Raiders of Texas Tech in a co-hosted charity relief game benefitting the Greater Houston Community Foundation.

Tipoff is slated for noon (MT)/1 p.m. (CT) at the Chaparral Center at Midland College (3600 North Garfield). Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office located on the East Side of Jones AT&T Stadium, online at
www.TexasTech.com or over the phone at (806) 742-8324 (TECH). The Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office also will sell tickets on gameday from the Chaparral Center Ticket Box Offices starting at 11:30 a.m. (CT) with doors to the game opening at noon.Â

Sunday's contest is one of the many games the NCAA has given a waiver for to help those impacted by the recent hurricanes.

The Aggies and Red Raiders have faced off 58 different times with NM State trailing the all-time series 37-21. New Mexico State had gotten the best of Texas Tech 6-of-7 times before the Red Raiders reeled off four-straight. However, the Aggies claimed the last neutral game the two schools played in 122-105 back on Dec. 27, 1996. The most recent meeting between the two storied programs came in Dec. 29, 2005, a 69-63 contest in favor of Texas Tech in the Pan American Center.
