ARLINGTON, Texas – The New Mexico State men's tennis team recorded its fourth-straight win on Saturday at the UTA Tennis Center, toppling UIW 4-1.

NM State's No. 3 and No. 2 doubles team took care of business for the Aggies (5-1), giving up just three points. The duo of
Enrique Asmar and
Sergi Espias swept their counterparts on court No. 3 before
Stijn de Haan and
Mauri Benitez clinched the doubles point for NM State.

Joey Vatanadilok put the Cardinals (2-5) on the board to start singles play when he downed de Haan 6-3, 6-4 on court No. 3. Goncalves, the reigning Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week, put the Aggies back up 2-1 with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles. Asmar followed suit shortly thereafter with a 6-3, 6-1 over Nedim Ahmic on court No. 6.

With the 3-1 lead, Flores clinched the match for NM State with a 6-2, 6-3 defeat of UIW's Ivanhoe Lissanevitch to open the week.

New Mexico State will get some rest now as they prepare to take on UT Arlington on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m. (MT).
