The Barranquilla, Colombia, product had a perfect weekend in singles play with a 2-0 mark, including a sweep of UTA's player 6-0, 6-0 on Sunday. Asmar went 1-1 in doubles play, with his only blemish coming against the Mavericks' No. 3 tandem in a hard-fought battle, 7-5.
The Aggie men will get about two weeks rest before they head up I-25 to face New Mexico on Saturday, Feb. 25, for a 3 p.m. tilt.
