HUMBLE, Texas – After weather shortened day one at the All-America Intercollegiate, the New Mexico State men's golf team sits in a tie for 15th out of 18 teams after two rounds of play, with a score of 593 (+17).
Through 36 holes,
Luis Medina leads the Aggies, posting totals of 72-71—143 (-1) which puts the senior in a tie for 15th. Behind Medina,
Isaac Merry fired 77-72—149 (+5) as he sits in a tie for 60th. Medina and Merry combined for seven birdies in round two.
Jack Snyder is currently tied for 73rd with scores of 74-78—152 (+8), while
Michael McGilton is a stroke behind with totals of 79-74—153 (+9), putting him in a tie for 78th. Rounding out the squad through two rounds is
Ryo Harada who is tied for 84th, 75-79—154 (+10).
Heading into the third and final day of competition, Baylor holds sole possession of first place with a team score of 552 (-24). Nation's top-ranked Vanderbilt has fired a 564 (-12) as they sit in second and host Houston rounds out the top three with a two round total of 570 (-6).
