Final Results
HUMBLE, Texas – The New Mexico State men's golf team competed in a three-day event at the All-America Intercollegiate at the Golf Club of Houston. After the 54-hole tournament, the Aggies finished in 16th place out of 18 teams with a score of 890 (+26).
NM State play was led by senior
Luis Medina who posted totals of 72-71-73—216 (E), which put the Aggie in a tie for 25th. This was the third top-25 finish of the year for Medina. Just behind,
Isaac Merry shot a team-best third round of 70 and his total score of 219 (+3) put him in a tie for 37th.
Freshman
Jack Snyder put up scores of 74-78-76—228 (+12) and ended the intercollegiate in a tie for 76th.
Ryo Harada, competing in his second tournament as an Aggie, recorded a 75-79-78—232 (+16) and finished in a tie for 85th with
Michael McGilton who had round scores of 79-74-79.
At the end of the All-America Intercollegiate, no. 13 Baylor won the team title with a score of 836 (-28), top-ranked Vanderbilt finished in second at 841 (-23) and host Houston grabbed third place with a total of 852 (-12).
The Aggies next event will see the team travel to Tucson, Ariz. for the National Invitational Tournament from Feb. 26-28.
