LAS VEGAS – The New Mexico State men's tennis team picked up its second win of the weekend with a 4-0 blanking of Youngstown State Saturday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The Aggies were originally scheduled to face Weber State on Saturday, but a change was made to accommodate both teams.

Enrique Asmar and
Sergi Espias got things rolling for the Aggies (3-1), taking down their counterparts at No. 3 doubles 6-1.
Christofer Goncalves and
Luis Flores sealed the doubles point for NM State when they ousted YSU's No. 1 doubles pair 6-3.

It didn't take long for
Mauri Benitez to give the Aggies their second point of the afternoon, downing the Penguins' (4-3) Alonso Lauz in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. Flores took down his opponent at the second singles slot 6-4, 6-1. Shortly thereafter, de Haan clinched the match for New Mexico State 6-4, 7-5 over Joao Garretto.

The Aggies wrap up their time in Sin City on Sunday, Feb. 5, at 3 p.m. (MT) against Weber State.
