LAREDO, Texas – The New Mexico State men's golf team saw their first day of competition at the Border Olympics called early due to inclement weather.
Rain forced the suspension of the First Round of the Border Olympics on Friday. All but four teams have finished their First Rounds. The weather forced the second round to be cancelled.
Team will resume play at 8:30 a.m. MT on Saturday, March 11, with the final round starting immediately after. This is the second straight season in which the Border Olympics was shortened to 36 holes due to rain.
At the end of an early day one, the Aggies sit in a tie for 13th place with a total of 290 (+2). Team play is led by senior
Luis Medina who is tied for 23rd after posting a first round score of 71 (-1).
