LAS CRUCES, N.M. -Â Â New Mexico State track and field travels to San Marcos, Texas, for the Bobcat Invitational while Kayli Farmer competes in Austin, Texas, at the Texas Relays on Thursday.
"Our team travels to Texas this week for an exciting three days of track and field," interim co-head coach Larry Carmichael said.
More than 7,700 athletes will be competing at the Texas Relays including Olympic medalists and NCAA champions.The Bobcat Invitational hosts athletes from all three NCAAÂ levels as well as professionals.
"We look forward to productive competition in Texas and hope to see a steady improvement in times and distances as the outdoor season progresses," Carmichael said.
Farmer competes in the javelin on Thursday at 4:15 pm (MT). Coverage of the Texas Relays will be available on the Longhorn Network as well as ESPN3. Field events at Bobcat Invitational begin on Thursday with the women's discus at noon.
