SAN MARCOS, TEXAS -Â New Mexico State competed in the women's discus at the Bobcat Invitational on Thursday.Â
"I was pleased to see both discus throwers make the finals today," interim co-head coach Larry Carmichael said.
Akuadasuo Ezenyilimba placed second in the discus as she threw a new personal best. The senior threw 47.39m (155-6), which ranks fourth all-time at NM State. Alexandra Napier Winebark placed sixth in the event with a mark of 40.61m (133-3).
AUSTIN, TEXAS -Â Kayli Farmer placed tenth in the Women's Javelin Section B at the Texas Relays on Thursday. The junior missed the event finals as she threw 39.98m (131-2) in her third attempt.
Though Farmer's run at the Texas Relays is over, she joins the rest of the track and field team at the Bobcat Invitational on Friday. Field events begin at noon (MT) with the women's high jump.
