LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's golf squad wrapped up day one of the Aggie Invitational at the Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas. Through the first two rounds, the Aggies sit in 13th place out of 13 teams with a 36-hole total of 617 (+41).
Individual play for NM State was led by Luis Medina with round scores of 76-73—149 (+5) to put the senior in a tie for 31st. Just behind Medina is freshman Ryo Harada at 73-77—150 (+6) which puts him in a tie for 43rd.
Davis Chung finished day one in a tie for 60th with totals of 81-76—157 (+13). Isaac Merry came in tied for 70th at 81-80—161 (+17) and Jack Snyder rounds out the Aggies starting lineup tied for 72nd with a two-round day of 81-81—162 (+18).
Heading into the final round No. 8 LSU leads the field at 565 (-11), No. 4 Baylor is in second with a score of 566 (-10) and host No. 17 Texas A&M is in third posting a total of 577 (+1).
The third and final round of action at the Aggie Invitational tees off on Sunday, April 2, at 6:30 a.m. MT.
