LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Stefani Duran signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at New Mexico State, head coach Kathy Rodolph announced on Wednesday.
"We are always happy to sign the top local talent," Rodolph said. "Stefani is a heavy hitting infielder. She is an exceptional student and has a big ceiling athletically. We are really proud that she has chosen to stay home and represent the crimson and white."
Duran played softball at Onate High School, where she was also a member of the National Honor Society. The Las Cruces, N.M., native led her team to a state championship in 2016 and was named the state tournament's Most Valuable Player. Duran was also given All-State honors in 2016. She was named All-District three-straight years.
