MISSION HILLS, Kan. – The New Mexico State women's golf team completed the first round of the WAC Championship at the Indian Hills Country Club on Wednesday. The Aggies sit in third place out of the seven WAC teams after day one posting a total of 309 (+29).
 
Individual play for NM State features two freshman golfers in the top-10, led by Dominique Galloway in fifth with an 18-hole score of 74 (+4). Pun Chanachai sits in a tie for eighth after posting a first round total of 76 (+6).
 
Kristen Cline shot a 77 (+7) which puts the senior in a tie for 13th. Vale Macias completed the day in a tie for 28th with a score of 82 (+12). Camille Orito rounds out the Aggie lineup with a score of 84 (+14) to tie for 36th through round one.
 
Heading into the second day of competition, UMKC sits in first with a score of 303 (+23), followed by Seattle in second at 308 (+28) and NM State completes the top three at 309 (+29).
 
Round two of the WAC Championship begins tomorrow at 7 a.m. MT. Live scoring for the conference tournament can be followed on Golfstat.
