LAS CRUCES, N.M. – With the NCAA Regionals selection show set for Thursday, April 27, New Mexico State Aggie fans are invited to join the NM State women's golf team for the event. The team is set to host its selections show watch party at the NMSU Golf Course in The Player's Grill.
The four regional sites include Scarlet Course/OSU Golf Course, in Columbus, Ohio, hosted by The Ohio State University; The Rawls Course, in Lubbock, Texas, hosted by Texas Tech University; the University of Georgia Golf Course, in Athens, Georgia, hosted by the University of Georgia; and the University of New Mexico Championship Course, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, hosted by the University of New Mexico.
From each of these four regionals, the low six teams and the low three individuals not on those teams, for a total of 24 teams and 12 individuals, advance to the national championships, May 19-24, 2017, hosted by Northern Illinois University at Rich Harvest Farms, in Sugar Grove, Illinois.
The women returned to Las Cruces after capturing their fourth-consecutive Western Athletic Conference championship by five strokes and Pun Chanachai took home individual medalist honors. The WAC also announced Coach of the Year honors given to Aggie head coach Jackie Booth as well as Freshman and Player of the Year which were each awarded to Chanachai.
The NCAA Regionals selection show for the women begins at 9 a.m. MT on Thursday, April 27. Doors open to the public at 8:30 a.m.
