MESA, Ariz. – The New Mexico State men's golf squad improved their day two score at the WAC Championship to move into a tie for third with round totals of 299-293—592 (+24). Two Aggie golfers sit in the top-10 through 36 holes.
Team play is led by
Michael McGilton who sits in a tie second after firing a 69-73--142 (E). That is followed by
Luis Medina who has carded a 73-72--145 (+3) to put the senior in a tie for seventh. McGilton leads NM State with seven birdies.
Isaac Merry posts the third highest score on the NM State squad after totaling a 78-74—152 ( (+10) to finish the second day of competition in a tie for 24th. Freshman
Ryo Harada improved his round two score and now posts scores of 82-74—156 (+14).
Jack Snyder was just behind Harada after carding a 79-78—157 (+15) to put the Aggie in a tie for 31st.
Heading into the final day of competition at the WAC Championship, Seattle U remains in first place with a score of 585 (+17), Utah Valley sits in second at 590 (+22), while NM State and UMKC are tied for third after carding a 592 (+24).
