IRVINE, CALIF.  - New Mexico State track and field completed at the Steve Scott Invitational on Saturday.
On the track, Crissey Amburg placed 10th with a time of 4:28.42 in the 1,500m run. Arniesha Mitchell placed 15th in the 100m hurdles as she clocked in at 14.30. Nia Garcia followed closely behind in the event with a time of 14.49. The 4x400m relay team placed fourth as Kim Rossen, Tanisha Scott, Katara Nelson, and Ashleyann Hall clocked in at 3:29.47.
Hannah Smith placed eighth in the triple jump with a best mark of 11.51m (37-9.25). Akuadasuo Ezenyilimba also had an eighth place finish as she threw 48.88m (160-4) in the discus. Keyarha Wilson took seventh place in the high jump as she finished with a best jump of 1.65m (5-5). Taylor Stutely took 11th in the shot put as she threw 12.05m (39-6.5).
New Mexico State returns to the track when the Aggies take on the best from the Western Athletic Conference at the WAC Outdoor Championships in Edinburg, Texas, on May 10.
