Medina Earns All-WAC First-Team Honors

NM State men’s golfer Luis Medina was named to the 2016-17 All-WAC First-Team

DENVER – The Western Athletic Conference announced the 2016-17 All-WAC teams, after a vote of the WAC's eight head coaches, on Tuesday afternoon. New Mexico State golfer Luis Medina earned All-WAC First-Team honors.
 
The senior recently wrapped up his Aggie career placing seventh at the WAC Championship, April 28-30. The Guadalajara, Mexico native completed the season with a 73.06 stroke average through 36 rounds of play.
 
Medina finished the year with three top-10 and six top-25 finishes. The golfer also earned WAC Golfer of the Week honors on April 19, after the Cal Poly Shootout. The west coast tournament saw the Aggie place in second; his best finish of the season, and shoot a round of 65 which was a new career-high.
