NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Thursday the All-Academic Team honors for the 2016-17 NCAA Division I Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field seasons. The New Mexico State women's track and field program earned All-Academic Team honors for the seventh-straight year.
 
To qualify for the award, teams must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 to receive the honor. The Aggies posted a 3.214 team GPA during the indoor and outdoor seasons.
 
In total, 360 NCAA Division I teams were honored by the USTFCCCA. Of those teams, 218 were women's squads and 142 were men's programs.
 
The list of individuals receiving all-academic honors from the USTFCCCA will be announced by the organization on Friday.
