@NMStateWGolf Announce 2017-18 Schedule

The NM State women’s golf team unveiled its 2017-18 schedule with nine regular season events

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The four-time defending Western Athletic Conference Champion New Mexico State women's golf team announced its 2017-18 schedule, featuring nine regular season contests.
 
NM State returns five golfers from last year's squad, including WAC Freshman and Player of the Year Pun Chanachai.
 
The Aggies 2017-18 slate begins with the Hobble Creek Classic hosted by Utah Valley University in Provo, Utah from Sept. 11-12. The remaining tournament in the month of September is the Colonel Wollengerg's Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colo. from Sept. 17-19, hosted by Colorado State.
 
NM State then hosts the Aggie Invitational at the NMSU University Golf Course from Oct. 9-11 as the team looks to defend its 2016 title. The fall season concludes with the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown hosted by the UNLV Rebels from Oct. 22-24.
 
After the winter break, the Aggies return to the links for the Bruin/Wave Invitational to last from Feb. 26-27 in San Luis Obispo, Calif. The invitational will have a pair of host schools in Pepperdine and UCLA.
 
The team's most eventful month of play begins in March with the Wildcat Invitational set to be hosted by the University of Arizona from March 5-6 in Tucson, Ariz. Next up for the golfers is a tournament which takes place just south of the border in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico from March 16-17 as the University of Iowa hosts the El Tigre Invitational. To close out the month, the Aggies head back to Tucson, Ariz. For the MountainView Collegiate with hosts Kansas State and Missouri from March 23-25.
 
Regular season play concludes for NM State at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic which is hosted by the University of Wyoming in Maricopa, Ariz. from April 2-3.
 
The Aggies then have a two week break before they head to Phoenix, to defend their WAC Championship title at Legacy Golf Resort, April 16-18.
 
This year's NCAA Regional sites include Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif., the UT Golf Club in Austin, Texas, the University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisc. and the Southwood Golf Course in Tallahassee, Fla. with the event taking place from May 7-9.
 
The 2017-18 season concludes in Stillwater, Okla., where the 2018 NCAA Women's Golf Championships are held at Karsten Creek Golf Course from May 18-23.
