LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State softball's Kathy Rodolph announced the dates for her Just Play Camps on Monday. There are four individual camps and one team camp taking place this fall.
Rodolph is set to host two all-skills camps on Aug. 19. The morning session takes place at 9 a.m. (MT) and is open to children 12 years old and under. The afternoon session is open to high school athletes and begins at 1 p.m.
The first prospect camp begins on Aug. 26., while the second is set for Oct. 7. The two-day camps feature a pair of three-hour sessions and are open to advanced high school athletes. Participants have the opportunity to work on their base running, throwing, hitting, pitching and position-specific defense.
The team session begins on Sept. 2, at 9 a.m. and concludes Sept. 3 at 1 p.m. The camp is designed to give teams a jump start on their 2017 season in an interactive environment. Teams must include a minimum of 10 and no more than 15 athletes. Individuals without a team are also encouraged to register.
