COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. – The New Mexico State men's golf team wrapped up the three day, 54-hole Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational on Sunday. After firing an 866 (+2) the Aggies finished in eighth place out of 19 teams.
Tournament play for the team was led by freshman
Taylor Stote who shot a 72-66-74—212 (-4) which put the Aggie in a tie for 13
th.
Michael McGilton and
Tadhg Campbell tied for 29
th as the pair fired a 54-hole total of 216 (E).
Jack Snyder shot 73-74-75—222 (+6) which put him in a tie for 63
rd.
Ryo Harada led the Aggie individuals with a total of 231 (+15) to tie for 95
th.
Isaac Merry and
Thomas Tulk each did not compete on Sunday and so they finished with their two-round scores of 150 (+6) and 157 (+13), respectively.
The University of Wyoming took home first place at the Falcon Invite with a team score of 835 (-29). The Cowboys were followed by Colorado State at 840 (-24) and Colorado who rounded out the top-three with a total of 843 (-21).
The NM State men's golf squad is back in action at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, Sept. 22-23, in Albuquerque, N.M.
